Ask students to skim the novel to help them recall scenes or images they found memorable. You might give them an example of your own, such as the burned-out orchard (page 165) or Leila shouting at the overhead planes (page 168). Have students select an image and represent it using their choice of the arts (e.g., drama, dance, poster, artwork, photography or video).
