- Research the different types of dances and dancers represented in a powwow. As a class, create a chart paper list of all the dances and dance styles that are represented. Have students (in pairs or small groups) choose one and research its origin, the Indigenous people who created it, its story, regalia, purpose and the steps. Have pairs or groups create a presentation about each dance.
